How DAD handles content.
ENCO describes DAD as automation and playout used by broadcasters from LPFMs to station groups, with the Presenter interface for live assist and support for regional splits and localized playlists. Its ENconveyor and Dropbox modules automate downloading audio and metadata from web or FTP sites, or scanning watch folders for new content.
WebDAD gives multiple concurrent users browser access to a DAD system for voicetracking, editing, library and cut management, and playlist changes. In 2024 ENCO added the Presenter interface to WebDAD along with more granular user permissions.
A note on AI in the DAD world.
ENCO offers its own aiTrack module, which uses generative AI and synthetic voice engines to preschedule song intros, IDs, and localized content. RoboJock takes a different starting point: its voices are trained on real voicetracks from actual radio professionals, not built as artificial announcers, and every break is written against your log and reviewed by your team.
Where RoboJock fits.
Approved breaks are delivered as cuts with title, length, and segue information, through the ingest path your DAD system already watches. Programmers can audition and adjust them in DAD or WebDAD like any other cut, then let the playlist run.
- Confirm the DAD cut range and naming for voicetracks.
- Choose the ingest path: ENconveyor, Dropbox module, or a watch folder.
- Set WebDAD permissions for anyone reviewing breaks remotely.
- Run a pilot hour and check segues in Presenter.
